Was there every a better moment to see if you can ride a T-rex? See the dinosaurs walk the earth, experience the wild nature that must have been around back then. I bet we don’t know about a lot of the amazing things from that time.

Of course you would have a hard time trying to survive, but it would be cool. Dangerous, but cool.

The problem is people are only going to change their behaviour once the consequences hit them, and with global warming, the consequences won’t really hit them until a long time later.

The second problem is the consequences are dramatic. And very hard if not impossible to turn around.

To really get people and companies to change their behaviour, we would need an immediate consequence to behaviour that is bad for the environment.

Bottom line is, some people try, some people don’t give a shit, and in the end we will have to deal with it.

I hope governments are watching carefully, we will need to keep a lot of water away from us in the future, and we’ll have to deal with the changing climate too.

I do agree that quality control should catch things, but we are all human and we don’t catch a 100%. So if quality control is flooded with too much things to catch, the chance of one slipping by increases.

Also, a lot of FOSS is based on volenteers, do we just ask those people to put in more hours? Who is responsible anyways if something makes it through and actually causes damage to something or someone?

I find the decision quite reasonable. You at least filter out the party most likely to pull something shady. We should still be very careful, but it takes away some the work.

Take care of your teeth. If you get problems, it hurts like a bitch, it can ruin you day, every day for years. It’s also expensive as hell. Take care of them, the best that you possibly can.

Well, I cannot imagine wizard dieing to a nuke. You would have to surprise them I suppose. I mean, what if they teleport the nuke to some other place?

Even if all the tech kept working, I imagine the only way you could beat a wizard as a Muggle is if they don’t see it coming.

If they see a gun, sure, the first wizard may be surprised and die, but it will not take long to find a spell that shields them. Rockets? Same story. Sure you can destroy stuff, even kill a bunch. The rest will be back though, and they can teleport, change memories, actually turn into another person or animal, turn you into an animal and whatever else.

The one plot hole in HP that always annoyed me is how Avada Kedavra is supposed to be the worst spell. In the books it is mentioned how Peter Pippeling blew up a whole street with a bunch of muggles in it. That seems way more dangerous…

Actually, at some point in the books they talk about this, and somebody comments how Muggles seldom would actually catch a real witch or wizard. And if they did, the witch or wizard would cast a spell to shield themselves from the fire and pretend to be in pain.

Lots of bike manufacturers are struggling with emissions. They find a bit of power here or there, but they have to use it to offset some power loss because of environment requirements.

It’s also a beginners bike and marketed as such. The competition for huge power numbers is really in other segments.

What is the point if you cannot trade it to other people? How are you supposed to make money by trading then?

I work in a warehouse of a company that sells a pretty huge variation of products. I drive fork lifts on a regular basis, but my work is about 50% computer work too. But not in the office, my computer is in the warehouse.

I used to be a computer programmer, but being in the office all day drives me nuts. I need to be a little bit more active and I also like to change my view every now and then.

We have basically no downtime, there is always something to do, we are understaffed, the new hires don’t have a clue so all the work comes to the experiences workers. We are also trying to change some processes but we barely have the time.

So for me, the question was just really weird, I cannot imagine having nothing to do. I don’t even know what I would do if I have nothing to do. Probably take the day off or something…

I am quite tall, and I currently drive a Yamaha Tracer 900 from 2018. It’s not a naked, the naked version would be the MT09 which is pretty high value as well.

Be sure to test one from 2018 or later though, the earlier versions did not have the injection figured out properly, and the throttle was choppy because of that. Very on/off. Later versions are much better. The Tracer 900 and the MT09 use the same engine, so that is nice.

The SV650 really is a nice bike and it handles well. It’s one of those bikes I can recommend anyone. Even experienced riders can have a lot of fun with it. Because it is light and agile it corners really well.

This is what I took lessons on, not the 2024 one, but the same model. It really is a nice starter bike, light, agile and also forgiving. If I remember correctly it had a support system that helped with driving away without stalling.

It was also controllable. There is enough power there, but you could easily drive it slower, where some bikes, especially the higher power ones will accelerate very fast if you twist the throttle too much.

To be fair, if you are just driving on the roads, you don’t really need more power. More power is fun though.

In the end I am to tall for a 650 cc bike, so I ended up on a bigger bike. But I will always like this model.

Well that is when I am at work. My work times are clearly defined and when the time is over, I go home. So I am limited to about 8 hours in a day, with a very rare exception of 15 minutes longer.

After work and in the weekends I still have time to chill, but at work I have no downtime except for breaks. Luckily my boss also knows how busy we are and doesn’t complain if I cannot get everything finished, he just tells me what is a priority and what not.

That is really helpful for the stress levels, but it is still a pretty stressful job.

You guys have time for other things? I do my job and can fill my day with that. I sometimes have to stand my ground to make other people understand that no, I cannot do this additional tasks everyday, I don’t have the time for that.

95% of the time it is busy. The other 5% I use to catch up with the stuff I have no time for when it is busy.
