  • They have millions and a loyal fanbase and it’s still not enough for them. They have to poison them too. Imagine being that hollowed out.

I think about this all the time. They have all the money they will ever need, and they do this with it?! I don’t understand how they aren’t just working out, taking care of their peoples (friends/family/organizations they care about/whatever), travelling, or just doing whatever the hell they want. If this is “whatever the hell you want” for them I can’t imagine how utterly lifeless and devoid of joy or meaning they are. I truly can’t imagine the idea of “branding™©”/“marketing™©” being the end goal for any actual human person.

  • I’m currently maintaining my various successes. I’m reading books, I’m lifting weights, I’m not wasting time on the internet, I’m actively working on developing my programming skills, I’m trying to “NETWORK™®©” (it’s far harder to have a simple but genuine conversation with strangers these days, even at networking events, everyone is trying to boost their brand and shit), and in general all is well. I’m also reconnecting with my writing passion. I have been writing really bad short stories to help get the creative waters flowing from my brain to keyboard, still SUPER far from where I want to be but we are moving in the right direction. Slowly, but certainly moving.

I hope all the Hexbear c/self_improvement continue to better themselves in every way they can. I really think that actively looking at yourself and becoming better for the sake of yourself is wonderful. Not for the market, not to “self-optimize”, none of that shit, but purely for the sake of being better because you want to be. I think that’s dope.

  • My politics aren’t really on the ballot, however I really hate the idea that if you vote for something you believe in you’re somehow doing democracy wrong. I have never understood the vote shaming rhetoric (especially for people voting for Green party or PSL or anything outside of the primary binary). If you vote for the things you want, you’re doing democracy correctly. Even if you are voting for things I don’t like or hate, if you and your stupid ass are voting for your stupid ass values, you’re technically doing democracy correctly (and stupidly).
