Tough place to be. Really, who’s going to give away a working Brother printer?
Tough place to be. Really, who’s going to give away a working Brother printer?
I saw that image and was a little confused about the message that was being conveyed. This little conversation between you two helped clarify things and was enough impetus to follow the imgur link. Thank you both!
…any I happen to get for free and I have no other working printers. I have a Brother color laser, so they have nothing I want.
I could buy this. Also, the fonts are very jarring and intrusive. I rarely want to view what’s behind the spoiler tag, just give me a line for bias and a line for credibility, no need to be bold and a smaller font if anything, and hide the rest behind the spoiler tag if I’m interested. I already know where MBFC’s bias is, and I can adjust that to get an idea that when they say left, I think center or maybe left-center.
All of that seems pretty reasonable to me, but not if your goal is advertising…
I’ve actually read some books that did this well, like needing to sneak around after moon set or continuing to travel after moon rise.
There are some linked articles that provided more information. The superintendent was fired days before a pride parade that was promoted by the division and the MMF. There are a number of conflicting claims surrounding his dismissal, which will probably get ironed out in court. The usual reason for banning flags is the suppress the promotion of something you don’t like, otherwise taste and relevance would be sufficient. Someone needs to start finding perfectly legitimate flags to be flown that don’t meet their criteria, such as city flags, sister city flags, flags for Saskatchewan in towns near the border, etc., until the rule is made to look completely absurd or they say out loud exactly what they are bigoted against. If nothing else, it will tie them up dealing with inane topics so they don’t have as much time to do more harmful things.
My guess, based on the related articles, is that they want to ban the MMF and/or pride flags.
I honestly never thought of Xi as a hothead. This could be my bias or lack of awareness. I’d say he has a fragile ego, sure. Do you have any examples to show why you believe that?
I think if enough people did it, Anubis would grow to like cheese.
But, again, all they can prove is that you signed up to Signal and when you last signed in.
That was testing a new missile, so not exactly the same thing. It still doesn’t inspire confidence, and the maintenance levels of the rest of their military doesn’t inspire confidence in the readiness of their existing nuclear arsenal.
The suicide bag uses a similar process as the suicide pod, but is very much DIY. Shouldn’t be too uncomfortable unless you’re claustrophobic.
There have been plenty of studies that refute this, from various countries. I can only conclude that this belief/wish stems from a variant of the puritanical work ethic where hard work will lead to prosperity, and winning the lottery isn’t hard work so will obviously not lead to prosperity.
I’ve won the lottery. Sure, it was only a few grand and my life didn’t significantly change. Studies on winners of truly large amounts of money, in the millions, tend to have more successful outcomes, with the studies I’ve seen putting between 66% and over 80% retaining their wealth for 5 or 10 years after winning.
Apparently, the credibility rating is high? Do they have a higher credibility rating? I haven’t checked, but I’d imagine “high” was high enough to at least post it and let people make their own opinions. For the record, CNN, The New York Yimes, and The Washington Post have the same credibility rating as the site listed above.
Lol you sound as ridiculous as if you said Trump having an official announcement from a landscaping company wasn’t credible. Sure, the location is kind of dumb, but if Trump gets in front of a bunch of cameras and says things, that’s as credible as it gets.
…not saying Trump is credible, but that’s still a credible source to report “Trump said this.”
To put it another way, you’re not shooting the messenger for the message he brings, you’re shooting him for the horse he rode on.
Depending on the source, I’ve seen a dime a dozen, a couple thousand dollars (not exactly cheap in my books) or a million (which seemed to be about another work of Weiwei’s). I also saw a history site talking about Han pottery being a “minor work” with burial pieces mimicking bronze works from the time. I can’t say just what this was worth before he broke it, and the art world probably inflates its value now that it’s destroyed.
Pretty sure suicide bags don’t have much in the way of fit tests, either, and I mentioned the comfort issue in my very first comment in this chain, no need to revisit it. An air leak into your nitrogen supply is always going to be a problem, possibly a bigger one in the reusable product than the one-off. It only has to work well enough one time.
This is a different use case, and has different limitations. One of them is portability, another is fit during activity. Neither of these apply to a nitrogen mask for assisted death. In fact, you need a means of gas to escape because CO2 buildup is the cause of discomfort from suffocation, not lack of oxygen. The homebrew device is called a suicide bag and explains in detail why positive pressure, lighter gases, and an opening are preferred.
A mask would still work fine with a reasonably good fit and positive pressure, it would just take more nitrogen. I think the stress of having a mask on would be a real problem for some people, no matter how effective.
There is a difference between me breaking something I own and you breaking something I own. Also, everything old isn’t particularly valuable, or important. Apparently the vase he broke was quite cheap. If this was one of the last examples of its kind, or if it was particularly well made, but this appears to be neither of these. Still kind of an asshole move, but I wouldn’t say anything of value was lost.
That’s the difference between my first and second marriage in a nutshell. Moving away (psychologically, not physically) from all the horrible shit I grew up with and thinking that was normal to having a better understanding of what I want to have in my life and some idea of how to get there.
