Thanks for reminding me to take my vitamins.
For all the stuff that can make us sad, depressed, anhedonic, etc, no point making it worse by not taking vitamins. D3 especially for the sads. RDA sunlight equivalent dosing.
is me, just like on lemmy.wtf, but here on lemmy.today, hoping for more uptime with the no instance censoring.

Why are plants purple?

So you’re the one.

if only implementation were the problem.

I keep forgetting to say “Bangladeshi strength”, and getting bland pish.
Glad to upvote that. lol
ufw’s all i know.
too lazy to look further.
i’m guessing you want a gui…?
idk if it has that, too lazy to look into it.
ufw just works.
(PS, I also use someonewhocares’s hosts file (with my own additions up top). May interest, for a lazy painless way of blacklisting at least, and doing other redirects, and more.)

Got me wondering… just a rudimentary poke at it, no deep investigation… time xbps-install -Syu and I see it takes about 2-3 seconds per mirror to update the list, and then with a big fat load to upgrade of 374mb to dl, 1238mb on disk, and as I watch the packages come in, most are giving avg speeds equiv to maxing out my connection, whole load done in 431.37s. Seemed super slick and fast to me. Would still be barely begun if on Gentoo or Suse.

Humans can eat it too. Remarkable nutrient profile, high in protein, omega3 and b12, for a plant. Probably best to cook and drain out as much of the oxalates as possible though. I’m getting notions of duckweed & cottage cheese.

I’ve been meaning to do [something like] this for a while. Bought the stuff… yet to get around to it. Maybe seeing this shall inspire making a start. Thanks. :)
Looking forward to updates in a little while, on how it’s going.

Which of the at least 4 places you posted this do you want replied to? n_n
… Actually, I got nuthin. No distro-specific problems at all are standing out to me as worth mentioning.

xbps. found it slow.
Really!?
I find xbps very fast.

Oh cool. I’d completely overlooked and forgot that nala was a thing. Not sure I’ve ever tried it. Thanks. Good discovery. Shall be trying nala. :)
Well, the expression does come from an age where it was more commonplace that the artisan, the workman, the technician, would be making their own tools. Takes on new poetic meaning, in this age and economy.

I am nerd enough, so deeply steeped, so long, in linuxville, that it took me several seconds to get this. XD Well played.

The simplicity is so refreshing. The speed’s almost too fast, like it cheapens the event. (… Speaking from portage being my fave.)

Kudos.
It’s not one I’ve sank my teeth into as a daily driver yet, but, yes… as near a faultless choice as one can make.
No explanation necessary. Stands on its own merits.
Some are.
