i’m new here and lemmy.world is just fine. the photography community here is WAY better than reddit’s. you cant even post photographs there. it’s so absurd.

reddit/all lets you filter out 100 subreddits but it’s impossible to filter out commercial ads. you can filter out nfl, but then there are 100 others like nflv2, nflmemes, afcwestcoast, or some other different iteration. same for baseball. mlb, baseballmemes, newyorkyankees, etc. and this is what is perceivable. there’s just so much junk on that site now. it’s just like watching tv: boring and uninspired.

i’m not sure what is justified but presuming they aren’t making money selling your info then they have to make up that cost elsewhere.

people who shoot animals for sport do so because photography is too difficult for them

i quoted wondershowzen on r/wondershowzen and got ai banned, ai appeal reviewed, and ai appeal denied

if terry schiavo had a back brace she would look like this

i didn’t get it til i read his comment

he stole my bike drawing

or a running net percentage. 1% of net income so long as the penalty applies. google tore down a forest without permits, how about 1% of net profits until the forest is restored

ai strategy is the same

buy book, use book to train ai, destroy book.

buy reddit posts, use posts to train ai, destroy reddit

if there is a way to download all reddit text i would love to know how. it is worth preserving. reddit already deleted a lot of old posts. and banned subreddits (waterniggas for example) are already gone forever.

character design is totally unfair

i think you are confusing governance and politics. governance is the act of making laws to do things. politics is the shitshow of having to be polite between entities in order to get governance enacted. it seems china has fewer politics that get in the way of governance.

think of two parents who say the child must go to bed at 8pm and the other at 9pm and until they settle their differences there is no bedtime set.

anyone notice their search engine enshittify with dates? an advance search let you search between points in time, like between 2010 and 2012 specifically. you can’t do that anymore. other search parameters are gone. along with renaming lake ontario it’s the equivalent of history book burning.

once had a guy open his pants, tuck his penis down between his balls, turn it sideways 90 degrees, and called it a ‘hamburguesa’

it was about 10 inches from my face

the military was interesting. i was not offended by this. maybe because i was already desensitized by then. who knows.

is there a community that treats the bible as pure literature? like a character deconstruction, perhaps examining god’s motive, or things like that. with absolutely 0 literal or figurative interpretation, no bashing or deconstructing beliefs, just treating it like the odyssey or harry potter

unhealthy coping fucking sucks. i hear you.
