In theory, it’s perfect, and just what I think the fediverse should be, but it’s terrible to run as an admin.

Because you are trans yourself, and are clearly working through your own stuff, I’m not going to ban you for merely holding transmed beliefs. You’re welcome to talk about those beliefs and your experience with them in terms of self acceptance, especially in an effort to challenge and dismantle them. Where it becomes an issue is if you express those beliefs in a form that invalidates other trans folk. That’s a single strike ban. No warnings.
A trans med is someone who believes that all trans people have crippling dysphoria and need or want gender affirming surgeries. They believe that trans people who don’t fall in to those categories aren’t really trans.
It normally comes from having a lifetime of dealing with crippling dysphoria, where gatekeeping of trans identities is normalised. You see a lot of it in 4chan communities, but also in conservative countries that gatekeep who can and can’t access transition care.
Trans medicalism is gatekeeping, and it is absolutely not welcome on any blahaj communities.
I will warn you now that you will receive an instance ban from all blahaj communities if you engage in any form of trans medical gatekeeping

I don’t bother anymore. The curls have defeated me. It’s too much effort to straighten

It does disclose it to the admins. I’m not sure how you would disclose it to general users? It’s not really a fediverse norm to expose admin settings to everyone. Though now that you say it, that might be a good thing to normalise?

The piefed stuff has never been secret. If you set up a piefed instance, the options and toggles are right there in the admin settings, and can be turned off by the admins.
Opinionated fediverse devs writing apps that create the environment they want is a good thing when the bells and whistles they add in can easily be identrified, toggled and adjusted by end users and admins. This is what piefed does. Rimu coding the sort of thing he wants to use is better than Rimu coding nothing because he’s not creating something meaningful to him.
It’s very different to the tesseract situation, in which the blacklists were obfuscated, so that people wouldn’t even realise they were missing content, and didn’t know how to disable the blacklist even if they did realise it existed.

Nope. All of the piefed stuff is clearly visible, labelled and optional.
You need to use crypto to pay for a lot of DIY HRT

In the same light as #1, I don’t know which admin it was, but after the dbzer0/nexus admins were calling for one of LW’s admins to be murdered, one of the blahaj admins endorsed .nexus and had the gall to call it “well moderated”. That endorsement from blahaj was NOT present prior to that incident. Again, not sure which admin that was, but only admins can issue endorsements, so it was one of them.
Ok, this sounds like you’re talking about fediseer.
.nexus had an admin with a byline calling for “death to zionists”. When called out, rather damage their community and risk defederation that would impact their user base, the admin in question stepped down.
That’s what good moderation looks like.
Despite the admin in question stepping down, there was still a push from several large instances to defederate .nexus over the events. We then endorsed them on fediseer to show solidarity with them in response to the ongoing calls to defederate them, because they did the right thing by their community and were still being dragged over the coals for it.
Edit - And it’s also worth pointing out that none of this content was created by blahaj users, nor posted on blahaj communities. The endorsement wasn’t made or even visible on lemmy, but exists on a 3rd party admin focused moderation tool (fediseer). If this is the sum total of my “looking the other way”, I put it to you that blocking an entire instance of queer users is perhaps not the best way of addressing our difference of opinion

I went with Dr Rossi in Argentina, and at the time, it was really cheap. With Argentina’s economy being the way it is though, I have no idea if it’s still a cheaper option

Both Ada and CupcakeZealot (Jessica I think?) continuously look the other way when any blahaj users call for violence.
Even if I wanted to leave calls to violence up, I wouldn’t, because they put our whole instance at risk of a takedown from our hosting provider.
So I can say to you genuinely, that I struggle to understand this take.
The only thing I can think is that you are equating people being ok with punching Nazis and people making memes when a transphobe dies as being calls to violence. If those are what you mean by calls to violence, then yeah, I guess I’m guilty as charged. I would say to you though, that blocking a trans instance for not responding to transphobia in a way that you personally agree with is in poor taste.
Edit - It’s also worth pointing out, that you didn’t just block blahaj.zone, but you blocked me specifically on both my lemmy and piefed accounts. Even if you instance blocked blahaj.zone because think that I as an admin have been “looking the other way”, it seems odd that you’ve blocked my personal accounts on top of that, because that implies you have some specific issues with my behaviour above and beyond “looking the other way”. I’d be curious to know what that is.

You are wrong, it is that app!

Piefed is opinionated software because Rimu puts his biases and preferences in to the final product. But Piefed makes them optional and puts the toggles in the place you would expect them so that admins can opt in or out of those decisions in a considered way.

Yep. The first one is using the photon front end, and the second is using mlmym

If Tesseract was the only alternative UI, I’d probably keep a fork of it available for folk. But there are enough other UIs out there that I’d rather simply drop it and forget that it exists

There’s two main culprits for runners knee.
If you have suddenly increased the distance you run, you may need to ease back, and do a gradual increase instead, which gives your muscles and soft tissue time to adapt to your increased load.
Otherwise, it’s often a gait issue. Ankles that roll inwards or outwards too much etc can cause torsion pain. In this case, it means better shoes, and ideally, shoes that address the issues with your gait. The thing about gait issues is that in the day to day, we don’t even know the imbalances are there, but when you start running a lot, the increased strike rate and strike strength means issues can start to show up. In my case, I need shoes with support that stop my left ankle from rolling inwards.

It gives you something to aim for next time!

Yep, you’ve got it!
Yeah. It feels like software from a previous generation that has cool functionality, but just doesn’t have the usability it needs to be the center of a daily fediverse experience
