    I mean if you’re using Apple then it’s kind of a given that you don’t care about corporations bending you over… have you considered perhaps using Gentoo and moving to the woods to live in recluse?

      Not really though? Apple makes good hardware and operating systems, and generally have a good privacy-forward stance when it comes to software (in my opinion).

      Unfortunately it’s not as cut and dry as “use Gentoo” - if my ad revenue is potentially worth x, lemme just pay x for the service. I know I’m not alone in this sense.

        Yeah but when dealing with closed-source, they can just pull the wool over your eye and profit off of you twice. Apple has a façade of privacy but is in fact worse than other platforms, which at least don’t try to pretend.
