And besides - your game probably isn’t some perfectly-balanced, completely coherent masterpiece, especially if it’s some big AAA RPG - no work this massive, made by hundreds of people under time constraints (or dozens of people under even worse time constraints, since you’re a AA developer and if you don’t release this one on time you’re going bankrupt) is going to be.

It might not be exactly the same but there are basically limitless combinations of mechanics that make good games so even if it “changes it to not fit the developer’s intention” it can still be a good fucking game
the best games at providing detailed, curated experiences also happen to be the ones you can modify at will so lol. project zomboid is so good because anyone can spend the time needed to obtain the vibes and experience the developer intended despite any of their personal circumstances that would prevent it otherwise. and it lets more people experience it because if they don’t 100% vibe with the intended experience than they can still do so with 99% of it
