While this plate does belong to the book “history of the crusades” by Joseph-François Michaud. The original volumes (1-6) did not have plates until the posthumous edition in 1875. That edition is a medium folio in 2 volumes. This medium folio edition has this image (seen above) as 1 of 100 commissioned plates that were created by Gustav Doré.
It’s come to my attention that the above image is not by Doré, but another artist done for another edition in around 1886. If you want to see the plates by Doré, Dover publications (Dover pictorial archives) has a large paperback edition of just his plates for the book
