I’ve been trying to find out how to search inside a community. Is this implemented yet? As far as I can tell, the search button searched across the entire lemmy, not only in one community.

Me too! It’s driving me crazy not having a quick way to search a community. When I have a community open, I expect the Search button to default to searching only that community. Instead, it seems like you’re expected to have to manually type out something long with the !blah@instance syntax. But I’m even guessing at this.

I’m not finding that feature yet either which is a shame because Voyager (Wefwef) is easily my favorite Lemmy app so far. I know Connect for Lemmy has a search-within-community feature but it acts a little wonky. Probably best to just switch between apps when you need to. I’m certain it’s just a matter of time that search feature will be on all Lemmy apps - especially once community content starts to grow.

    Hey,

I just noticed this as well, then found your post through my search engine, then was about to proceed in creating a new feature request on GitHub, but noticed I actually already did (Search input in community sidebar · Issue #1648 · LemmyNet/lemmy-ui), merely days before you posted this !

And maintainers have yet to respond to it, so I pinged them, hoping it will help move things along. 🤞

However, I just discovered the Alexandrite alternative web client has this feature ! 🎉
