News anchor: a plague researcher at a plague laboratory in Russia dies after their plague research ran into plague complications. The plague researcher began showing signs of plague before their death. The cause of death is still unknown…

The plague never actually disappeared. People get it every year, about 1-2,000 internationally. It’s treatable now.

Maybe the regular plague, but this is from one of Putin’s bioweapons labs.

yeah I was going to say people in India get it all the time. Hell I remember the Seinfeld episode where a friend of Elaine and Jerry decided to have their wedding in India and the parents of the groom, who were both Indian, tried to talk them out of going saying stuff like “you know they still have the black plague in India?”

Funny how the game Plague Inc. keeps getting more realistic each year without the devs even doing anything…

“I don’t think it’s cause for alarm, but it is cause for focus and a cause to just keep an eye on it,” Rubio said.
