The site is currently inaccessible and they have their cease and desist notice on the front page. What can we do now? Are we now only able to start linking to Twitter/X again like trolls?
Don’t use it. Tell people who use it to duck off in as nice as you’d like.
Share the story why.
But, most importantly, don’t use it. And make it clear to the people who seek their audience there that they won’t reach you, neither your voice nor your money or attention.
I mean before I found out about xcancel I was just not looking at x things. will go back to that.
I guess we’ll just have to stop looking at Twitter content
I’ve never had a Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or Snapchat account. My life is STILL too busy to do everything I want to do in it.
I don’t know what I’ve missed by not being on those platforms, but I know I would have had to give up some part of what I do now to be on them.
10 years ago, I did find Twitter to be useful to follow local disasters, but when most of that moved behind a login prompt, I just went back to RSS feeds supplemented with Lemmy and reaching out to actual people I knew for information.
