Going by comments in the post, the required login is coming in waves, so not all people may notice immediately.
Still, as Reddit is strong-arming its way across, maybe worth signaling to people there that the fediverse may be used without an account, so long as there’s even one instance that implements logged-out view as the protocol allows it?
I don’t have access to my account any longer, possibly VPN ban, though I never tried to recover it so I can only guess why mine is lost, else I’d post myself.

Lemmy’s still too full of incredibly thin skinned snowflakes and tankies for it to get popular
so does reddit, its even worst. you wont get banned immediately, but alot of things being said on reddit that gets you banned are the same thing here. like racism, transphobia, bigotry., your comment pretty implies you are a conservatives, they arnt welcome on most platforms.
hey, i was only told twice yesterday that i deserve to die by some random drive by commentator.
Well I hope you live forever, motherfucker
I don’t understand the amount of communist talk on this platform. Maybe it’s because it has fewer Americans on it, but we pretty much never think of communism at all.
It basically only ever brought up by right-wing politicians to scare the voter base. Nobody really gives a shit.
one look at modern capitalism makes people want an alternative system
Oh I agree, late stage capitalism sucks. Hard.
I like how he got banned, exactly proving his point.
If you check the Mod Log (accessible through the button under the comment with 3 vertical dots), apparently that user has a history of using ableist slurs, uncivility, and telling users to kill themselves.
If someone like that is complaining about the culture here, the rest of us must be doing something right.
yay for public Mod Log, underrated feature
Not to be dumb but what is a tankie? I’ve never heard that term before
on lemmy, its usually a far left take on politics. when it comes to specific things like russia, china, N korea, cuba, etc. tankies on reddit can mean politics, or specific things like a city/location based sub (how you need to act a certain way or believe a certain way).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tankie You’ll start noticing those opinions mainly from specific instances. If it’s not your thing, don’t hesitate to block communities, users, or whole instances before giving up. You can use Lemmy the way you like.
Thanks!
