    If a senator is absent, their vote should not count. Period. It is not deferred, and nobody can vote on their behalf. It is straight up not counted.

    This is what Republicans want for midterm and presidential voting, so why does it not apply to senetors?

    This would incentivise them to elect healthy people and quickly replace people who can not do their job.

      I want unhealthy people to get elected too! The problem isn’t that he’s unhealthy, it’s that he’s cheating. The more we allow delegated voting as a matter of policy, the better represented we’ll be.
