I remember Florida (IIRC) going hard on the deportations a few years back and then being shook that white folks werent lining up for the underpaying overly tough job picking fruit, which is shocking to exactly no one. If I can get the same pay at McDicks for less effort, why wouldn’t I?

Florida “lucked” out of the laborers needed to pick fruit. In 2000 Florida produced 21 billions pounds of Oranges. In 2025 they produced 1. In 2026 they won’t make 1. All of the groves are dying and every orange tree in the state is infected and they don’t have a solution.

I’m guessing we will be relocating the orange groves to New Jersey at some point anyway.

They can even use it to make the finest New Jersey wine on the market.
