Yes, indeed–we’ve reached another weekend! Hope everybody is doing okay out there, between the heat and the smoke and everything going on with the world. I also hope you all had a chance to play a game or two!

It’s been a busy week in my neck of the woods, but I’ve been revisiting the OG R-Type and… wow, I’m rusty! I worry that my memory isn’t what it used to be.

No smoke here, just heat, but we’re starting to cool down after heat wave round 3. Round 4 might be on its way but opinions and analysis can’t seem to agree.
R-Type takes some serious memo indeed. I can do the first two levels, the Warship is 50:50, stage 4 can go to hell. Even credit feeding that game to the end is satisfying.
Went back to another game that didn’t click we me and realized that the issue was skill. Danmaku Unlimited 3 didn’t hit any notes with me the first time I tried, but now I get it and everything feels less frantic. Awesome little game. I didn’t even know there were things to unlock or different modes. I had only played it for about 30 minutes and shelved it. I think I put in about 10 hours this week.

You reminded me that I have Danmaku Unlimited 3 for the Switch, but haven’t played it for ages. Glad to hear you’re enjoying it!
