The fuck is extremist about “I don’t want to have kids”? I’m just surprised there are so many parents on a community for people who have decided for whatever reason that they’re better off without kids in their lives.
Some people shouldn’t have kids. Especially not those that don’t want to have em. Know plenty of people that do that privately and I can respect that.
And then there is the child free movement that is like the vegan movement. Can’t go a breath without telling people about it and trying to convert more people.
As a parent that rubs me the wrong way. There are a lot of people missing life experience that a advocate to miss one of the things with a potential for the most profound experience in their lives. Endangering it for others thinking that know it all. Its a little like a Catholic priest advocating against marriage or against sex. Its a topic he can’t possibly know anything substantial about because observing is not the same as doing.
not at all. Sex is practically a human need for all non-asexual peoples. If a priestt advocates against sex? He advocates against food and water and physical genuine affections - those last 3 were 100 human needs regardless of the human we are sppeaking of in question.
Children are to a degree not a human need for most humans m The human population of thr planet is high enough that enough people are having enough children to sustain current levels of the human populatiom and the UN has estimated that humannpopulation will peak at approximately 11-13 billion people and will oscillate up and down between these two numbers till the end of time. 11 billion of a species is A LOOOT! We definitely dont need anymore !

If a childfree person changes their mind about wanting kids 1. is they have IVF, 2. is just freaking adopt a kid . theres so a dizzying amount for them to pick from, 3. somme people simply have to accept that they will remain childless forevver . Heck, many impoortant figures in history had absolutely no kids and they lived happy , fulfilling lives regardless. Im not saying this is for all childfree people who change their mind of course but sometimes a person just has to accept that they were dealt a certain ‘hand’ by god or the god’s deck of card. and youll just have to love with it. There’s nothing wring with just accepting the circumcstances that life has handed you and just making the best of it. I for one was bullied so thoroughly J wished I was White. I said a prayer to god hoping they would turn me into a White man…of course my wish NEVER came true. So I just accepted that I would have to love myself as a Black man regardless.
Each person should live their lives ina way in whiich they dont hurt other people and they dont hurt other species on this planet. If youre so angry thatt people have taken the ‘extremist’ poosition to not have children maybe you should get your head oit your butt and try to permanently improve society so that more people will consider our society to be more invinting to those who have thoughts of having kids. No joke if capitaliism did not exist right now?
