Hope you’re all doing good ….i’ve been smiling all day and i wanted to come share why.
this morning one of the girl charity called me to say they were travelling to Canada today.
hearing those words made me stop for a second.
after everything we’d been through, i wasn’t expecting to hear good news so soon.
they asked us to bring their bags to the IOM compound before they left.
when we got there, we weren’t allowed to get close or take any photos, which i completely understand. i wish i had a picture to show you all but i’ll always remember seeing them one last time before their journey.
today reminded me how many people helped make this moment possible.
so many of you donated when we needed help the most.
so many of you shared our fundraiser.
others simply left kind words that gave us strength when we had almost none left.
because of your kindness, the girls got the care they needed during one of the hardest times of their lives.
i hope you know your compassion reached much further than you probably imagined.
today, five beautiful girls are beginning a new chapter.
i’m going to miss them terribly.
but my heart is so full knowing they’re finally safe.
thank you for believing in us.
thank you for walking beside us.
