Hope you’re all doing good…… I have been meaning to come back here for a while. first, i’m sorry for disappearing again.

after my last update, so many of you donated, shared our fundraiser, boosted the post and left encouraging comments. i honestly don’t know how to thank you enough.

because of your support, we were able to get the girls vaccinated and buy the things they needed before they left for quarantine. these photos are just a small glimpse of what your kindness made possible.

i wish i could’ve shared this sooner.

after the vaccinations, IOM took the girls for quarantine because of the Ebola precautions. around the same time, the internet here in South Sudan was shut down, so i couldn’t get back online to update everyone.

I have felt bad about being quiet because you’ve all stood with us through some incredibly difficult moments. i never wanted anyone to think i disappeared after receiving your support.

i didn’t.

i think about this community often.

seeing the girls smiling again after everything we’d been through is something i’ll never forget.
