Existential threats kind of supercede anything else honestly. Just because the Republicans happen to be doing absolutely everything evil and destructive possible across the board, that doesn’t mean any of the individual issues are less severe.
Not getting a specific trans right isn’t an existential threat and it is relatively less severe than the emergence of a technofacist surveillance state and the re-enslavement of humanity, imo.
