You’ll find that the Pope is generally aware of the history of the faith but generally prefers to focus on the things this Jesus dude said later, but, hey, maybe if you explain his religion enough to him he’ll agree that all these new fangled ideas like “letting women have rights” and “not killing the gays” and just generally not being a fundamentalist halfwit can be thrown out.
Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”
Malachi 3:6 “For I am the Lord, I do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.”
James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no change or shadow of turning.”
Psalm 102:27 “But You are the same, and Your years shall have no end.”
Yeah, you’re absolutely right, Christianity, and its writings are shitty in a fundamental level. However, let the hypocrite, hypocrite his way back to the right side, since the dogma itself is meaningless, and especially since the Catholic church, is just a power structure (to my knowledge. Correct me if I’m wrong)

Ah! So God changed his mind, then? But then…
Guess that’s just all bullshit, then.

You’re absolutely right. It’s just the hypocrisy itself that always bugs me about these things. Probably a result of growing up in the Baptist church.
