I don’t see it being particularly beneficial or making any difference. With a couple teenagers in my house the discussion has come up more than once about their peers’ behavior.

The saying the “apple doesn’t fall far from the tree” is essentially true.

The kids that are racist assholes are racist assholes because their parents are racist assholes. So they’ll vote the same way. The vast majority don’t care or will vote how tiktok tells them - which is probably how plenty of adults do it - and the kids who come from families that actually give a shit about communities and education will probably vote liberal.

So there might be more voters, but IMO the percentages will remain the same.

Only those who pay tax should be allowed to vote, otherwise they’ve got no skin in the game and their decisions can affect those of us that do…

Disabled ? Sick ? Mom not working to raise their children ? Not allowed to vote according to you. I suppose they have no skin in the game either ?

Anybody who earns enough money pays tax, there is actually no age limit. If you have a part time job paying more than £12.5k a year you’ll pay income tax. If you are paid more than £9k your employer has to start paying National Insurance.

If your definition is people who pay cash tax then we need to stop most pensioners, disabled people, people on benefits, stay at home partners (mostly women), part time workers, carers, and probably others I’ve missed from voting too then?

Those who will be affected by a decision should have a vote. It’s not just about taxes, you know. And yes, that implies that men shouldn’t vote about women’s healthcare, for example.

Cool, then everyone gets to vote. Immigrants (even undocumented), refugees, children…

Them existing and participating in the economy generates taxes, even if they don’t file them.

I’ll tell you something for free. Your vote doesn’t matter. The same arseholes get into power, do fuck all, and leave under sleaze and scandal.

Save your time… Go to the pub instead.
