Of course most soulslikes don’t really have a world you’d want to live in, considering the dangers that lurk around every corner. In some games’ endings, the world even ceases to exist. But disregarding all the dangers, or rather assuming that you’d be equipped to face them, which soulslike could you see yourself living in?

I’m a nerd weeb, so I’d love to live in Japan in general. What better game to live in than Sekiro?! Specifically Fountainhead Palace just seems like heaven.

Aaand you get Dragonrot because Wolf decided to git gud

I’d say Dark Souls II. It seems pretty chill compared to other games.

I’ll be fiiiine. He’ll heal me soon, right? Right?

I thought about specifically excluding Majula because I’d imagine most going for Majula :D

Oof. Tough question. My favourite, Nioh 2 seems miserable for everyone, even if you’re equipped to deal with the deadly stuff. I’d probably chose ER and study Glintstone magic with Sellen. She seems like fun company

I’d probably fit in with the other hollow in DS 1 XD, hang on I think I’m already depicted in game, chilling in new londo:

    Jk jk

On a real note. Elden Ring. I could enjoy the vistas until someone decides to burn it all down (hopefully) but training with the ladies at Fountainhead palace could also be pretty cool.

Demon’s Souls seems the least bad for me, I wouldn’t mind living in the nexus with other people waiting for someone to get rid of The Old One. It’s implied that everything goes back to normal after the ending compared to Dark Souls’ “everyone dies” endings.

The world of Ashen doesn’t seem too bad! Plenty of the supernatural entities seem genuinely benevolent, and the world as a whole isn’t just inevitably doomed and is probably going to get better. That optimism seems nice

Sekiro is probably a solid choice, though. The real-life Ashina clan was defeated in the late 1500s, so you’ve probably got 10-15 years to stress about and then the rest of your life lies within the generally stable and prosperous Edo period
