    Hatte ich letztens bei der Arbeit. Ein Kollege wollte wechseln, hatte vorher wirklich noch nie irgendwas mit Linux zu tun, und hat mich um Rat gefragt.
    Er hat sich dann für Fedora entschieden.
    2 Wochen später war er auf CachyOS und hat über NixOS nachgedacht.

      Ich liebe catchyOS, aber ich bin auch noch nicht so lange auf linux umgestiegen, und vorallem arch. Wie gesagt, riesen fan, aber ein paar dinge scheinen mir komplizierter zu sein als nötig. Aber für den normalgevrauch spielt das wohl keine rolle.

      Ich vermute du arbeitest irgendwo im IT-Bereich? Ich stelle mir gerade vor, wie irgendein Standard-Verwaltungsmitarbeity oder Backwarenfachverkäufy plötzlich mit Linux von 0 auf 100 geht Ü

      I see this community in my feed all the time but don’t speak, read, or write German, but I can appreciate that it is about Linus vs Windows 11 and so this gets my full support as I assume it is about how good the former is at taking down the latter. Cheers guys keep up the good work and free the tech from the mega corporations.

          Thank you for the translation, I need to stop being an ugly american and learn more languages. So far just English and French but Spanish, German, and Polish are the European languages I think I should study more. And it was good to see I wasn’t too far off base.

            No worries mate, don’t be so harsh on yourself. Europe is multilingual and English is the standard language. But the reason we speak multiple languages is because we learn them in school, not because we are so open-minded. If you like to pick up a language I would recommend Spanish, it will be the most useful for you on the American continent. German and Polish are hard to learn and not worth it if you don’t plan on moving here.

            US Americans being aware of other languages and cultures existing is basically all we want, so just keep visiting our meme community from time to time and enjoy the German humour ;)
