I heard Adam Tooze saying the total energy-producing capacity of all the oil shipped through Hormuz every month is about equal to the total capacity of all the solar panels shipped out of China every month and it blew my mind. It’s crazy how North America is just going to be stuck holding the bag of the worldwide oil economy while much of the rest of the world is very soon going to be running on Chinese renewables with little need to be part of the volatile oil racket
