Brexit was always a mistake. I think it served a few people somehow, but IMO it was not good for most Britons to leave the bloc. I thought it would never happen and was saddened a bit when it did happen.

I’m not sure the EU should so easily welcome the UK back, but ultimately it should happen and be regarded as a mistake to learn from.

Curious if anyone in the UK, or in the EU on the other side, think Brexit was good and why. I feel like the UK got weaker outside the EU. It’s always been said that the UK was the 51st state (a nicer way of saying “America’s bitch”), but it didn’t feel as true when the UK was in the EU. Americans joked about the Queen (maybe now, the King) taking the colony back and bringing the US under UK rule (and Americans supporting this due to shoddy rule there), but lately, it’s been the other way round. I’m no fan of the royals per se, but I’d like to see a stronger UK.

They shouldn’t be allowed in until all the people who loudly pushed for it are removed from power and made to admit how horribly stupid they were. So, never, I guess.
