Its only a matter of time before canva enshitifies affinity. DaVinci has a studio version which is paid once which is good. But davinci is essentially an ad for their hardware where they make their real money.
Canva doesn’t have a similarly sustainable model as far as I can see. They just have pro tier subscriptions for arbitrarily paywalled features.

I am so sick of their monopoly and excited for the present and future.
It’s just a bunch of other companies trying to lock you into their systems before they crank up the subscription price and enshittify. It buys a little time and saves some money in the short term, but only FOSS could address the deeper problems.

Btw you can use archive.md to bypass pretty much any paywall.
Ive got a nice browser extension that opens up the link in numerous archive sites, sometimes I’m. just lazy. I will give archive.md a suit though.
