I think the sites should just block reviews until the end of the season of any show or add a seperate value for early reviews.
AniDB has a temporary vote for shows still airing. Once they finish, the temporary vote is automatically cleared and you’re allowed to cast a permanent vote.

I love both series and the comparison has never be a fair one considering FMA is an actually complete story. Trying to say Frieren is better before it is finished is just silly
Also because only people who liked season 1 of Frieren enough to watch season 2 will vote on season 2. Sequel seasons always have some inherit bias as a result.

The hardcore FMA fans suck. A smaller show would take the #1 spot on MAL then suddenly get a huge wave of 1/10 votes. They did this for years only to finally lose out to Frieren.
