I was checking out the AEW roster page and Jericho is still listed there.
I was under the assumption that his contract ended Dec 31 and that he was leaving to wwe.
Does the AEW website lag with roster changes or is Jericho possibly renegotiating with AEW or do we know anything about it?
Within the last day it’s come out that Mercedes Martinez, Matt Taven, and Alex Abrahantes are all done with AEW and they’re off the roster page. It could be Jericho hasn’t officially turned down a new deal so they’re leaving him up there in case he sticks around.
Didn’t Matt just join? Also will we be seeing Penta days in WWE? 👀
Matt’s been in AEW for awhile, he just hasn’t done a whole lot. He debuted for them in 2022, but according to Cagematch he only had 6 ROH matches last year and none for AEW.

Nah, he’s been around for a while, teaming with Mike Bennett as The Kingdom. They were part of the Undisputed Kingdom stable that Adam Cole formed which was absolutely snakebit. And I don’t think they’ve done much of anything since.
And yeah, the fact that they’ve updated the roster page and haven’t pulled Jericho is an indicator that his exit isn’t quite final, IMHO. And it wouldn’t be the first time Jericho teased a promotion move to troll the internet.
