      This didn’t start with twitter. In the early 2000s, the religious right didn’t have the media or the public “intellectual” that they have now. So the online atheists dominated. Then, once all the right wing media shit caught up to the podcasting and vlogging era, it started to dominate. It turns out a lot of those atheists had no real convictions they were just doing it because it was a vaguely organized outlet for political dissatisfaction. Once they had a Peterson instead of a Hitchens, they latched on to that because they were always reactionary.

      It became contrarian to the liberal status quo of online interaction to do the trad life shit. So now you have a bunch of disingenuous religious freaks who are once again clinging to some vague cultural organization because they have nothing else.
