He’s not particularly wealthy mind you, just has a flat in which he lives. Somehow it’s his fault that the price of flats quintupled in Paris.

I see it sometimes on lemmy. Someone will say something mild like “the minimum wage should be raised” and will be vehemently rebuffed with “You should be dismantling capitalism if you really cared!” Or “This police brutality is unacceptable.” with “If it was really unacceptable you’d be out there using your 2A rights to make a real difference!”
Public opinion isn’t with them, but they exist. To some people anyone not as extreme as them is the enemy.
