So, ARC has been out for a bit over 24 hours now. How was your experience? I had a 7 hour session yesterday, playing duo with a friend. He was on PS5 Pro, I was on PC. Had a lot of fun and not a single technical problem. Won our first PvP encounter, lost the next two. Can’t wait to jump back in.
Mine was ace, a friend of mine wanted to play it on Xbox but it was only available several hours after the PC launch. Another friend played on PC and had a crash at the start of every raid, but could play fine when reloading the game.
I did like 4 games and I got completely smash every time. I’m a noob in this genre. I’m still completely hook tho and I want to play more :)
I participated in Tech Test 2 and Server Slam, I played four rounds so far, it’s exactly what I’ve played and what hooked me so I’m not sure me saying “just like I expected” is helpful, but it’s really solid, I get the same adrenaline rush that I felt the first time I played The Finals.
PVP encoutners were a lot more hesitative and had potential to be friendly compared to previous tests, I’m guessing it’s because now people care about their gear. Friend and I exchanged fire with some dudes, and then we just held the elevator for them to come in, everyone went home safely. ARC enemies feel weaker than I was used to. Overall game content looks very deep at first glance, excited to unlock the rest of the maps, and see how good the overarching story is!
Only jumped in a few times now, had a pretty good experience so far, PvP has been not too bad, I’ve been shot a few times, but when people see I don’t return fire they chill out.
I did get killed once inside the extraction elevator, bit as I had already closed the doors it counted as a clean exit and I got a couple of achievements for leaving while downed, and leaving with another player, so maybe they were doing me a favour 😅
So far, so good, buy I don’t really see anything more interesting than CoD DMZ or The Circle, so I don’t think this will hold my attention
