I disagree with a max age limit on voting. Someone who’s 70 can still live 30 more years, and they deserve to be able to have a say in a system that can directly impact them.
The point is that they actually might have to deal with the consequences, especially if there’s a candidate who will do things to hurt them, like fuck up social security or Medicaid.
Everyone deserves to have their voice heard in the system they live in, and setting an arbitrary age limit is unconscionable. It’s basically telling them to fuck off and die.

Sure, but then they don’t have to live with the consequences.
Meanwhile, most people under 70 hope to make it to 70 and beyond. Better make sure they are voting in their future-selfs interest.
