I’ve gotten so used to the web app that I don’t find I have the need for a separate email client. If Proton released the web app as a standalone email client that would be a different story
It exist Thunderbird Extensions for adding a Quick Access to Proton Mail and Proton Calendar. It would be nice the make a Thunderbird Fork or create a Thunderbird Plugin as Bridge.
@Mari @governorkeagan Having a built-in Proton Mail support (via an extension/add-on) to not require the external Bridge would be really nice.
yea and also than the calandar can work than you can also provide a proton theme.
Does the Web app work offline at all? I use thunderbird currently partly for this but also partly for my calendar which I’m still transitioning from self hosted caldev to proton calendar
I have it installed as a PWA and it works offline for me from what I can remember. Don’t quote me on that though, haven’t done any proper testing
I just use the pwa and the app on my phone/tablet. I may end up using the brige when my work forces me into Outlook here in a few weeks though.
Why not both? I use the web app on a daily basis and Thunderbird with The Bridge for backup purposes.
