John Ullyot, who resigned last week as chief Pentagon spokesperson, predicted that Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth will also be out of a job soon.
Ullyot called it a “strange and baffling purge” that has led to “a near collapse inside the Pentagon’s top ranks.”
And he warned that even more “bombshell” stories about Hegseth and the Defence Department are about to drop.

That line was near the end of the article and puts the whole thing into absolute hogwash territory
I’m pretty sure this is just how people try to manipulate Trump. He responds to flattery, and this almost makes it sound like Trump would be weak to do nothing.
It’s worth noting that what you said is the only way this guy is going to get fired. Trump has literally zero intrinsic understanding of the issue. He doesn’t use computers or smartphones, probably has only a vague grasp of what an app or end-to-end encryption are, and no understanding of app security vs device security. He has literally no basis on which to understand any of this, and crucially, he won’t care to learn if someone explains it to him.
So yeah I have no doubt that he’s completely baffled by all of this and doesn’t really see how it affects him.

Actually just check out the history of CIA ops around in foreign countries. Consider how many of those countries end up with a high inflation rate and that currency becomes more worthless in a deathspiral.
I think it’s not a single factor like “it’s orchestrated by state nation x” but I fully believe if the US is going to make itself weak then those countries like potentially Russia or China will take full advantage of it and offer a helping push. They’ll do it subtly. So it’s hard to see. But it’s just standard politics, and it would be insane to think they won’t take full advantage of a situation.
