The most important thing when starting a ketogenic health plan is to map out medications and if any could be impacted by the new metabolism and work with a doctor to observe and titrate them down as necessary. I.E. People on insulin will have to aggressively monitor their blood glucose levels and modify their dosing, with the help of a medical provider. This only demonstrates how effective a low carbohydrate is for treating diabetes.
