Tried shipping a GPU to PR from mainland USA once. UPS wanted $60 because they think of PR as international. The USPS will do it for a flat rate shipping box of like $15.
I had an argument with an American about whether or not New Mexico was in the US or was in Mexico. The idiot didn’t know his own country.
Now granted truth be told I don’t think I could accurately point to where New Mexico is on a map other than probably somewhere near Mexico but at least I know it’s a state.

“Fun” fact: this is the reason why New Mexican ID cards have “United States of America” printed on them.

Would they be visible from this angle? Guam and Northern Marianas are further west than Hawaii.
Virgin Islands certainly would, and American Samoa might.
