Good morning, fellow sobernauts, IWNDWYT 😁!

We may be anonymous strangers on the internet, but we have one thing in common. We may be a world apart, but we’re here together!

Welcome to the 24 hour pledge! I’m pledging myself to not drinking today, and invite you to do the same.

Maybe you’re new to c/stop drinking and have a hard time deciding what to do next. Maybe you’re like me and feel you need a daily commitment or maybe you’ve been sober for a long time and want to inspire others.

It doesn’t matter if you’re still hung over from a three day bender or been sober for years, if you just woke up or have already completed a sober day. For the next 24 hours, let’s not drink alcohol!

2 month 🥳 (still no craving or any real feelings to have a drink, but no better weight or general health improvements as well. Except mental health, which is cool).

    Now let’s double that.

      congratulations!

I never lost weight when I stopped, but my GP said that she’d rather have me a bit overweight and sober than have me at my “ideal” weight but still drinking.

Thanks. Yeah I wasn’t expecting a miracle, and even if people says that I look better I don’t feel like it.

That’s not a problem tho, I guess with age you can’t just count on not drinking to be fit. I started calories counting and got back on my bike saddle. I hadn’t touched my awesome bike for all of 2024, so even if this February was only work commuting that’s still 15km a day and an awesome feeling.

As with being sober, biking distance are going to increase during the next months.

I don’t forget that being sober is a super power, and I want to be a fracking super hero.
