I promise I’m the one good anti-war guy, not this compass’s definition of “anti-war” though

I used to have fantasies as a kid where the soldiers on both sides of an imagined conflict refused to keep shooting. Then I thought about the political situation it would cause and that the former combatants would need protection from third parties to not get executed for desertion, which made me realize that a cessation of warfare would have to be an international effort, yadda yadda yadda hello communism

EDIT: okay also I’d like to point out I was imagining something like a proxy war in these fantasies, I’m not opposed to anti-colonial uprisings at all
