Home Plate on Lombard Street in San Francisco has a similar policy, reported SFGate. Signs posted around the restaurant and on the menu asked diners to “Please Drink Responsibly. $50 cleaning fee per person for any incident incur as a result of intoxication.”
Other brunch restaurants in the Bay Area use “mimosa fairies,” servers devoted to monitoring the intake of guests.
Which type of liberalism is this?
It is the Wine Cave Warrior code. It’s not alcoholism if it’s expensive alcohol.
I’ve seen with my own eyes a “grown-ass men” well into middle age throw a violent temper tantrum and get thrown out of a restaurant, drunk off his ass while screaming “DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?”
Worst part was that was a relative and I was also at that table, and got some of his “can’t be an alcoholic because this is expensive alcohol” on my clothes from his rage-sweep of the table.
