▪️ On October 19, 2024, an ambulance transporting a mother (Raghad Ayman Al-Basyouni), her newborn (1 day old, in need of urgent NICU care), and a friend (Sanaa Moustafa Al-Basyouni) was struck by the Israeli military near Al-Khoulafa Street in Jabalia. The group were on their way to Kamal Adwan Hospital, the only NICU facility in North Gaza.

▪️ The mother and her friend were killed instantly, while the newborn and a paramedic were critically injured. Tragically, the bodies of the deceased were left exposed and mauled by stray dogs before they could be recovered.

▪️ The newborn, initially left behind in the chaos, was miraculously rescued the following day and transported to Kamal Adwan Hospital, where care was finally administered. Witnesses, including the ambulance driver and the woman who later adopted the child, shared details on the horrific scene.
