The original french post that motivated hexbear’s decision : https://jlai.lu/post/11504685

So that’s the tankie server? Explains a lot. I read that I can block their instance for myself and was leaning that way. Any reason why other people can’t personally do that?
We can do that but it wouldn’t benefit our users on our server.
We decided to act against violence promotion on their instance. Briganding played a very small part. When OP wanted to defederate from them, we asked why and some proof outside his own post.
Anyway, we don’t want to offer that experience on our server nor dealing with it. We are a very small server with a small team. We let users decide by voting and telling us their point of view before any action.
