2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.
This was a test shave of this F.W. Engels razor. The Jnat edge on this came out stunningly good, and the whole experience was enhanced by the wonderfulness that is Thé Noir et Vanille.

Silly joke because of the F(riedrich) W. Engels razor. If Engels made one, his colleague and best friend K(arl) W. Marx probably dabbled in it as well when they took breaks from theorising the liberation of the proletariat?

I am continuing my quest to end Autumn Ash – not sure that I will achieve this is 2024. My skin is very dry these days, and the Marmara Barber aftershave is not really helpful in this.

Continuing my run through the 14s in my den, today with the Henckels, the predecessor of yesterday’s Heckels Fiodur 14. The freshly refreshed edge is sublime.

Nocturne is so good this time of year. This “older” vegan base is very easy to lather, but it loses slickness pretty quickly if you add too much water. It’s pretty much ready to go with whatever water was in the brush during loading.
I love the scent of Nocturne in the Zing version. It has me curious about the new BaM release, which supposedly smells like Will intented.
Yeah, at the time I only heard that this zing version didn’t smell right to people who had smelled the OG.
I’ll probably pick one up in a couple years if it comes back again again.
I bought one in my quest to dezingify my den, and I’m curious about the difference.
