I’m glad I’m not the only one.

It’s almost like they tell each other to check me out too.

My ex mother-in-law had a farm kitten that was mean to everyone, but would cuddle and play with me so long as I scritched behind it’s ears.

My brother’s girlfriend has three, and after one approached and I did the behind ears thing it meowed a bit and the other two started it until I distributed attention to them.

I’ve had the most skittish cats ever at least approach me. I’ve had the meanest cats befriend me.

    I like to think it’s a superpower

I’m very much a dog person, but dogs either insta-love me or are insta-terrified of me. Not sure why.

Cats, though? I’ve never met a cat that didn’t like me. And while a cat is fine too, I’ve always found it a bit odd since I’m not exactly the biggest cat fan out there. They are cute little bastards, though.

Part of why cats like you is probably because you don’t like them and seek them out. Most cats are wary of people directly trying to approach them without invitation or greeting. In general cats will find the person ignoring them the least threatening and most approachable.

It never fails that cats tend to flock toward the person that is allergic to them, because that person is typically entirely disinterested in them lol. Not being interested in the cats is likely why you make friends with them so quickly!

Feigning disinterest wouldn’t work on my cat. He demands attention, and will take it personally if you ignore him. If you’re new and don’t give him attention, he will not stop staring at you, and you will randomly get a swat on the head if you continue.

I’ve always been a dog person too, but somehow I ended up with over 10 stray cats.

The only reason I can think of is that they are really good at suckering people in to do their bidding.

I like both but I’m more a cat person, less needy than dogs in find.

Yeah they’re cute little ninja bastards.

I do wonder what it is they sense in people to decide if they like them, cause they’ll approach me but not some of my friends.

Our silver cat is a huge fan of tummy tickles.

He specifically requests them, and he’s certainly gone over ten minutes without any hint of wanting to stop, he just “supermans” his arms out one at a time, and sometimes drools a bit.

If you’re gonna stroke a cat in America, please remember to do it in private. Otherwise you’ll end up on a list.

My cat only wants belly rubs. Anything else isn’t good enough.

Mine specifically grabs my hand and pulls it to his belly. I do eventually get the love bite telling me to stop but overall it’s a relatively painless system

They’ve also killed an uncountable number of civilians and that makes me sad.

As this seems to be a requirement these days. Hamas bad, IDF bad, and Hezbollah are bad.

I’m sick of people who justify the actions of Israel because of the other guys, when only one is a nation state playing in the gutter with terrorists and acting no better.
