The ad is called ‘Limburger,’ a cheese known for its pungent odour

The Lincoln Project, an anti-Trump PAC, released a foul ad doubling down on allegations that former president Donald Trump smells.

Claims around the former president’s alleged odour erupted earlier this week when former Illinois Republican representative Adam Kinzinger tweeted, “I’m genuinely surprised how people close to Trump haven’t talked about the odor. It’s truly something to behold. Wear a mask if you can.”

The Lincoln Project seized upon the resulting social media firestorm with a video advertisement on Saturday, with the caption: “Is that you Donald? #TrumpSmells.”

Counterpoint: things like this drive him so crazy that he lashes out, further embarrassing himself.

Also, I don’t think they believe he wears makeup. Ex’s mom believed his tan was natural. You’re right that they won’t really believe or care, but I don’t really think it’s about convincing his voters at this point.

        I don’t think that’s possible.

I don’t think they believe he wears makeup

And they won’t believe that he smells.

I don’t really think it’s about convincing his voters at this point.

What is the point, exactly? Other than pouring contributions down the toilet for laughs?

Also, by responding to the criticism, he validates it.

Nah, try it some time. Just start making fun of Trump supporters; try to make them embarrassed.

Shame is fundamental to why they believe what they do. Exposing that shame is extremely painful.

That’s incredibly naive. If they were ashamed they would simply stop doing it. They’re quite the opposite, I promise, and not going to suddenly be ashamed that their representative smells bad, after all the simply deplorable things he has done and said.

        • They don’t feel shame about being assholes, they feel Shane about deeply held insecurities, which causes them to behave like assholes. It’s childhood bully mentality. They’re not ashamed of hurting others, they take pride in that. They are ashamed of their own perceived ‘weakness’, their internalized homopohobia, their lack of intelligence or work ethic, their perceived emotional weakness. All the things that they attack minorities for.

What does any of this have to do with how Trump smells?

It has to do with your comment that I replied to

In what way? Seems like you were just chomping at the bit to rant about an irrelevant topic that upsets you.

                • You literally said that they don’t feel shame so I gave several examples of things they may be ashamed about. Your comprehension skills are not good.
