“Women love when i show them my extruder nozzle”
On lemmy.world i would fully believe anyone who said there are 60+ bots boosting any given post (obviously not every post). Thats not a lot when you think about it but enough to give certain posts traction and ensure they stay at the top for days.
I mean the emh in voyager shows that with holo emitters all through the ship they kind of don’t, but also that human prpblem solving/unconventional thinking is always the secret sauce needed to escape any given situation.
Lmao the subway complaint is the dumbest thing ive ever read. The subway was added to the game and it was the most boring shit ever, why would you want to have to walk into a train system and watch a non skippable cutscene just to be able to travel somewhere. Talk about a stupid feature that somehow got latched onto by thousands of bitter basement dwellers who will never be satisfied.
I mean i dont think its the best game ever or anything, but compared to say breath of the wild which is celebrated for its open world for some reason but which is just 99% empty space with a thousand rocks you have to turn over, cyberpunks world is so much more dynamic and alive. There are tons of little hidden quests that you have to stumble upon or be in the right place at the right time. There are tons of little hidden easter eggs, like a dead sniper on one roof with a log entry, and on the roof opposite that a bunch of dead gang members with a corresponding log entry. You really have to search and read everything in cyberpunk to find the little gems, and by the end theres a lot of unnecessary loot and repeated data files, but when you stumble across the reallt interesting hidden bits it makes it all worth it i think. Regardless if you play for more than an hour or two and take the time to explore then its obvious a lot of care went into crafting the world, more than just creating a dumb little puzzle and then copy pasting it 50 times all over the map.
I mean presumably you could just ask ‘how do you know that?’. But also whats to say you arent just making it up in the first place and have never had peanut butter. Thats why you should be critical of information and find trusted sources.
What is “all this”? I wasnt aware of any controversy with the show, and the article makes it sound like some people just didnt think the story went the way they wanted it to, in which case fuck them, he’s right. Tv shows shouldnt be made by poll, theyre written by someone with a vision and people either get it or they dont.
We didn’t collectively decide anything lol. Hilarious you think thats how our society works.
People are responding to it. Idk how you sort your feed, but if its by ‘hot’ or ‘active’ then your comment just helped bump it back up to the top.
Half of everybody voted for him. This is such a ridiculous post, those are barely off the numbers for the whole election. Which is ridiculous, but why single out this group?
lmao this comment is pathetic. Putting together a pc is not ‘building your own electronics’, its plugging parts into marked slots. Its literally easier than most lego sets these days.
I mean it sounds more like a silly limerick making fun of a guy who “couldn’t get any girl to agree” to marry him than any sort of queer positive messaging. If anything it reads as kind of homophobic to me, suggesting that two guys end up together because no girl would ever want them. But i mean representation i guess?
I feel like this is probably due to the steamdeck and so much steamos functionality requiring steam to be running.
I think its kind of reductive to claim that all the billionaire fascists are merely racists. I mean sure, racism plays a part, and they definitely are racists, and eugenicists, but fascism primarily is about power and control, and those that have that power now and want more of it arent motivated solely by racism. The reason fascists dislike minorities of all kinds, not only racial minorities but also sexual and religious ones, is because they threaten the status quo and exist outside of the fascists desired hierarchy, and because its useful for controlling a population to give them something ‘other’ to hate and fight against, aside from the fascist puppetmasters pulling their strings. Race is definitely involvex, but for the billionaires leading the charge, the fascist push is avoht money and power and control.
That cost seems incredibly high, how did you calculate that? Also what are you paying for a loaf of bread? Granted cheese is expensive so depending on how much mozarella you’re factoring in that could play a part, but im still curious about your numbers.
Long term, its a solution to neither candidate supporting your values. It shows that you wont blindly support whoever is barely less bad. If your vote counts at all (which it pretty much doesbt) then you cant tell people not to vote for whoever is closest to their values. You should be telling the candidate to listen to their voters.
“Im going to be barely better than the alternative and people will literally worship me for it. Also even though i support killing children, trump would kill more probably. Vote blue!”
Disclaimer because lemmy users are becoming more like redditors everyday:
yes trump sucks. Yes vote kamala if youre in a swing state. No, dont attack every person who points out the massive flaws in your democratic system or the “democrat” party. Because they fucking suck also. Just slightly less.
Okay but words are not math. Language exists solely for the purpose of communicating ideas, and if you understand the idea that someone is trying to convey and that idea is not false, but their word choice is inaccurate then you most definitely are just nit-picking, and its not in search of some greater ‘truth’ because the actual truth of the conversation is what they were intending. I feel like you’re conflating truth with accuracy. Misusing the word animal when you mean mammal is not false in the same way as saying the sky is green or the covid vaccine gives you aids. Words can also have multiple meanings, which lends itself to more than one truth. Theres the scientific definition, and as i mentioned, the colloquial usage. So if a majority of the population understands a word to mean one thing in one context and another thing in a different context, and you willfully ignore that societal understanding in favor of ‘scientific validation’, then you are again ignoring a form of truth.
Sure in some cases there can be an objective truth probably, although i doubt any of us is as close to it as some people seem to enjoy thinking they are. But i think what you’re missing (possibly intentionally) about my point is that if you know what someone meant then they achieved the objective of communicating, and by choosing to ignore what they meant and instead focus on what they incorrectly said then i feel like you’re consciously choosing to move the conversation away from ‘truth’ and toward ‘correctness’ out of some need to feel superior. There is a time and place to correct people, but lots of people (and you may or may not be one of them) seem incapable of distinguishing when it is not the right time or place.
Wowww this comment says a lot. Have you ever considered that if you were given the ability to ‘hurt’ people who you think deserve it, that other people could use that same ability to ‘hurt’ people who dont deserve it? Maybe stop focusing on retaliation for dumb internet disagreements and go touch some grass.
