I have a tub of Vaseline and have hardly scratched the surface. I’m curious whether anyone uses it for anything other than their lips.

If you are wounded it’s great to apply on your skin

I read the opposite, that it stops your blood from clotting if you apply it onto a cut!

Does anyone have evidence for Vaseline being good for wounds? This thread was the first place I read it and I’m still skeptical!

I use it for my lips btw. Only after I’ve brushed my teeth. I used to use it on dry skin in the winter when my skin would literally crack from the cold but that hasn’t been a problem for a good few years thankfully!

That’s right. And that’s exactly what you want to do. You see, blood clotting isn’t always a good thing. It leaves permanent scars that will never go away. I had an accident and my whole face was fucked. I thought it was unrecoverable but vaseline did an incredible job. At some places, my skin was gone but for some reason I wasn’t bleeding. It healed slowly, and that’s what you want
