Airbus has suspended the operations of its outsized air cargo service, Airbus Beluga Transport (AiBT), just over 12 months after the cargo division received its own Air Operators Certificate (AOC). AiBT had been operating with its fleet of Airbus A300-600ST Belugas which have been in service for over 20 years.

They still use their BelugaXL (A330) for Airbus production sites.

But they created a company for external customers so that “anyone” could rent a Beluga to transport oversized fret. They transferred the older four Belugas (A300) to it.

That’s what they are shutting down.

The aircrafts will be transferred back to Airbus usual transport duties, dont worry you will still see the XL flying at Airbus production sites. But they said they are not certain what to do with the older A300 variant.
