Knitting. I just don’t have the coordination

You’re telling me there has been a Gay Island this ENTIRE TIME?

Yea, it’s called Fire Island, NY

Edit: A word

And y’all thought Captain Hook was overreacting

Wait, what?

Oh, well those are a given. If you didn’t have crippling anxiety and depression in 2026, THEN I’d be really concerned.

Glad you’re doing (mostly) well :)

There’s an updated version of the book? I’m not sure which version I read… In that I didn’t actually read it. I listened to the audiobook.

I feel like this is top-tier trolling

I have so many feelings about how that book ended, but no actual words. Hope you enjoy it!

Bro, like, go easy on yourself. The rest of the world is ready to eat you up. Don’t join them in the feasting.

Olives have compounds similar to catnip. My cat can’t leave discarded olive seeds alone

How’d it turn out?

TIL swim bladders from fish are used in the production of some alcoholic beverages. Thanks!

It doesn’t make you sick when you eat meat after not eating it for a few years?

It’s not often we get a chance to tell a billionaire to go fuck themself. This was one of those rare chances and Sheeran fumbled the ball.

The Left and the Right want the same thing.

But also:

I’m a Republican, and in nine months of advocating for safer streets, I have yet to meet another one.

I’m convinced this is the origin story of all my anxiety.

That last one made me look around the room. I need to get out of this comments section.

Put a sheet of tinfoil in there while waiting for the baby to arrive. That’ll keep him out.

It’s a start. Do we think those 6 states would join a general strike? Maybe the goal shouldn’t be a nation-wide strike per se, but a coordinated strike across consistently blue (city, state, fed), high-population regions. That way, the conversation shifts from “it can’t happen” to “where does it need to happen”.

Serious request: I don’t have any background in political science. Can someone help me work through this hypothetical situation?

Blue politicians call for a general strike to protest the activities of the Trump administration. Let’s assume everyone in the country knows about it.

In which states does it actually happen? What industries are most impacted? What percentage of the adult population in those states takes part? How long does it last? What does Trump do in retaliation to those states? Is it effective?
