The current administration has shown it is unwilling to compromise, won’t take no for an answer, and is willing to use every means at its disposal to force its views on all of us. And they’re willing to use the power of the federal government and its control of the economy to completely suppress dissent. And since capitalism incents business to grow and fight for survival, any threat against this by the government keeps them in line. The current issue of the show The View and their choice to not invite Mandami to appear is clearly taken because of the possibility of their license not being renewed is an example of this. And when you combine all this with the fact that people do not think critically, are easily manipulated, and are generally unhappy that neither party has shown they can solve our problems, you have the perfect mix for someone like Trump to take advantage of.

You’ll be surprised when you find out how much cognitive dissonance people can tolerate.
